Day 1

The day started with everybody saying goodbye to their loved ones and heading out to the rehearsal studio to pack the gear into the rental van.

Boarding the ferry from Oslo to Copenhagen, the first mission was to harvest all necessities from the the tax free.

All the restaurants were fully booked, so we had to kill some time in the room, tasting some whiskey and telling a lot of really bad jokes.

We finally had a good buffet at 8 pm, stuffing our faces with the most expensive things we could find on the tables.

At last we rolled out of the restaurant, found a bar with a cold pint and wrote this post. Hope tomorrow will run smoothly and the show will be successful.
Stay tuned!

Countdown - D minus 1

We are actually leaving tomorrow! And luckily things seems to finally get sorted.

600 $ worth of bass strings arrived today, in the nick of time! Just one of those .175 strings weighs almost the same as one guitar... almost!

New sound card has been installed. A new rack case has been assembled and tested.

Today it is time to worry about typical normal luggage issues. How many boxers do you need for a month long trip? How often can we do laundry? Do we have everything we need for a soar throat? Do we need clothes for really cold weather? Guess late October in Helsinki might get chilly...

Typically! Just before the tour, Bjørn (the drummer), got an injured toe. Luckily it's nothing serious, and he might be well enough to play again today or tomorrow.

Everybody in the band try to be very cautious these days. Don't use sharp knifes, don't do sports or any risky activities. But you never now...

The merchendise has finally arrived the correct destination. One less thing to worry about.

A big thanks to Eric Kirchner Art who designed these. He always delivers quality work!

Tonight is our last rehearsal before the tour....

Countdown - D minus 3

Only 3 days left! Time is flying and there are still so many things to do. Gear that hasn't arrived yet, clothes, bandages and stuff to be bought. And still we feel the need for practice. It's going to be three packed days.

We are really looking forward to the moment we are sitting on the bus, and we know all the preparations are done.

We cross our fingers hoping the merch will finally be delivered today.

Countdown - D minus 4

Another rehearsal today, still with broken sound card. Hoping it will arrive tomorrow!
We have added blacklights to the backdrop to make the awesome details really pop out.

The set lists are finished today. So we are testing them out tonight.

Countdown - D minus 5

At rehearsal yesterday, Bjørn worked so hard behind the drums that a pool of sweat shorted the sound card in the "live rack". Good thing it happened before the tour, and not on one of the concerts.

So now we have to buy a new one, and make sure that Bjørn doesn't moisturize more of our gear.

He's looking very good in his white shorts!

Marius was struggeling as usual plugging his in-ear into the receiver on the back of his guitar strap.

It's very nice to have it tucked away while playing, but it is a bit inaccessable when you need to get to it.

Today it is time to plan the different sets for the tour, make sure all the tracks on the computer is in correct order, that click-tracks are sounding at the right places and that back drop light tracks are synchronized with the music.

Countdown - D minus 6

We are still not sure if the merchendise will be delivered. Yesterday evening we got another message about failed delivery. We really hope that it will be sorted out soon!

Yesterday's rehearsal was good. Everything sounds better, techniques are improving and the band sounds tighter.

Isak arrived very early to test his brand new in-ears. And after three hours of plugging, unplugging, bending, reading, configuring, testing and tuning, he finally got the sound he wanted.

Marius is working nights, as usual. This night he has been working on some lyrics videos that we hope to release before the tour.

Another rehearsal tonight.

No rest during the weekend!
